East Sussex Omnibus Society

Leyland Lion - No. 12

About Us

The East Sussex Omnibus Society was formed in 1988 by a band of dedicated enthusiasts with a desire to meet on a regular basis to discuss like minded matters and exchange views under a social climate.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month at the Red Lion, Stone Cross near Eastbourne on the old A27 road. A varied selection of topics and speakers are guaranteed through the year providing film and slide presentations. A monthly magazine called 'Bustopics' is also produced, which contains various articles as well as news on the local operators.

Our meetings in the summer provide a chance to ride on vehicles old and new. Many of our members have vehicles at our disposal including the famous Leyland Lion once owned by Eastbourne Corporation.
